The Rows

The Finger Keys will be programmed to perform groups of operations called Rows in the Express Keys system.   Currently, the Express Keys would come with six rows “hardwired” into the system with the option of buying other Rows. These six basic Rows are:

Word Row for writing letters, words, punctuation marks, diacritical marks, and miscellaneous symbols.

Number Row for typing numbers, number symbols, and performing calculations.

Correct Row for editing text, with a simple system for the beginning typist and a system for the experienced writer.

Style Row for styling and formatting text, and performing related operations.

Manage Row for performing tasks such that manage the computing experience (such as Saving or Deleting files), and personalizing and streamlining them.

Move-View Row for performing the functions now done by a mouse, and for changing the view of the screen and contents.

In addition to these six basic rows, countless Other Rows could be programmed into the Express Keys, taking the place of “programs” as we know them today.
